Courtney & Brett's Tropical Hawaiian Beach Wedding

We love a good destination wedding, and there's nothing better than a romantic beach getaway. This week, we're saying "Aloha!" with the Hawaiian wedding of our featured couple, Courtney & Brett. Taking place at the luxury oceanside resort The Fairmont Orchid on the northwestern side of the Big Island, their special day was beautifully photographed by Whitney of Something Minted Photography. White sand beaches, blue skies, and postcard views of the ocean were the setting for the ceremony and reception, creating a picture perfect setting. Not only was the scenery incredible, so was their entire wedding day setup. Bright florals, soft colors, and curated elegance came together for a style and design to obsess over. Courtney & Brett opted for a first look prior to the main event, and this might be the most gorgeous setting for one we've ever seen. Lush green palm trees, leaves, and bright tropical florals decorated the background, along with a rock formation waterfall on the resort grounds. Our favorite photo from this part, is where Courtney taps her future groom on the shoulder, a massive grin on her face. Moments like that are pure magic- you can almost hear how fast their hearts are beating from the anticipation! Is there anything better than true joy and love? We don't think so. When Brett turns around and sees her for the first time, the look on his face is one of pure happiness. They spent a little time soaking it all in, just the two of them, sharing a few romantic moments before the rest of their wedding day bliss began.
Against a backdrop of palm trees and dreamy sunlight, the newlyweds took additional couple shots outside on the beach while the sun was just starting to set. It truly looks like paradise. These photos took place after the ceremony, but we wanted to share them first because they are too stunning not to! Courtney looks radiant in her long white gown with a lace bodice and low detailed neckline. Her hair and makeup are effortlessly pretty, and we're loving her braided twist chignon, that was frequently decorated with a white floral crown throughout the day. Brett kept it simple in a light grey suit sans tie, and white button-down, looking handsomely casual and perfect for the relaxed atmosphere. They have a very playful and fun energy as they hold hands and stroll along the beach. What a romantic way to take your first photos as husband and wife!
What a view! With the ocean in the background, the couple exchanged their wedding vows right on the beach, with family and friends present to witness. Courtney & Brett held hands and stared into one another's eyes throughout, listening to their ordained minister, the sounds of the ocean cascading behind them. Celebrating with a passionate kiss, they were pronounced husband and wife. Those in attendance cheered them on as they clapped and wiped away happy tears. Raising their hands to show their joy at being married, their smiles were genuine and triumphant, creating an epically romantic moment. The way they looked at one another as they strolled down the aisle after their ceremony makes us so happy we could cry! We always feel so lucky to be able to witness these special occasions, and we are incredibly grateful for the honor.
After their ceremony, the couple had an entire beach dinner reception set up for their wedding guests. Wooden tables were decorated with minimalist place settings, complete with periwinkle blue linens and tropical Hawaiian greenery and floral centerpieces. If there was ever a more perfect place to celebrate, we have yet to see it! There was dinner and dancing, and plenty of laughter. Underneath palm trees and twinkle lights, the ocean waves in the background, we can only imagine how incredible this wedding reception was. As day turned to night, and the sun went down, the daylight turned into a soft golden glow. Surrounded by loved ones, it was the perfect way to end their Hawaiian beach wedding.
Courtney & Brett look so happy here- we love to see it! Sipping cocktails on a beach in Hawaii, surrounded by their loves ones enjoying the sunset? Nothing sounds more magical. Being included into their special day as a small part makes us feel so lucky, and seeing all of their beautiful photos will continue to inspire us. Their wedding looked nothing short of stunning, and we wish the happy newlyweds nothing but love and happiness for years and years to come.
