The Inspiration

Last year, we were so lucky to be included in a styled tablescape shoot curated by Gathered in Style, who is an insanely talented event planner. She was kind enough to include us in this shoot and we couldn't be more grateful. We received so many complements on these photos and we wanted to do something special for the Thanksgiving season. We give credit to photographer Rebecca Ou for snapping these magical pictures, giving us our inspiration. Although we can't take credit for this particular design, we thought it would be fun to help you put together something similar. Something we want to highlight are the florals from Ora La Casa de Las Flores, who not only curated the stunning designs below, but who also runs a shop in New York, making beautiful floral arrangements and flowered works of art. Of course, if you aren't in New York, you can always check in with your local florist to see their inventory, or other florists available in your respective city to help you create something similar to the ones below. Designing a tablescape can be a lot of fun, and we think guests will love seeing a creative approach to any table setting. Keep reading to see what items we think would help create the perfect boho tablescape.

Recreating this Boho Tablescape

We mentioned the florals above, now let's get into the other items needed to help you create a similar Thanksgiving inspired tablescape. Here are just a few items that we think are perfect for recreating this look.

Here's What You Need:

Neutral Colored Table Runner

If you've been reading our blogs, you know that we're big fans of table runners. They are much more stylish and modern compared to regular tablecloths, and they add a glamorous touch to any surface. You can never go wrong with a neutral toned version- they match just about everything and won't clash with other decor you plan to use. This herringbone grey option is made from 100% linen, and is also completely machine washable, so you won't have to worry when guests spill. Ranging in sizes from 12x39" to 22x300", and offered in neutral shades in grey, white, and even black, you'll be sure to find the perfect size for your Thanksgiving table.

Dripless Taper Candlesticks

Candlesticks are an instant style boost and Thanksgiving Dinner is the perfect place to add some of these decorative items. Old school candle sticks add some ambiance when lit up, and look amazing in low light. Avoid candles that are scented- you want guests to be enchanted by the smell of your food cooking, and nothing else. We love these colored candlesticks that come in a variety of shades so you can pick which color matches best. For this thanksgiving tablescape, we recommend shades of terracotta, mauve, beige, honey, soft peach, and white. They will look amazing on your dinner table!

Cement Candle Holders

Those candles need a place to rest, so why not put them in something that's kind of fun and unique. These cement candles holders are the perfect thing. With an opening that fits most candles, they measure in at 2x3.75", and are handmade from cement, with each set of two coming in a variety of minimalist colors like white and coriander. Not only are they candle holders, they're cute enough to be decorations when not hosting candles. You'll love how they add style to your settings.

Terracotta Linen Napkins

Much like the linen table runner, you can never go wrong with linen napkins for exactly the same reasons. They are inherently more elegant than standard versions, and are also machine washable, so clean up has never been easier. We love these terracotta versions- the color is perfect for the season, and a bit boho in design. Available in packs of 4, they come in a variety of sizes starting at 8x8", and going all the way up to 24x24". They will instantly give you tablescape a pop of color that makes the day feel all the more seasonal. Little details like these won't go unnoticed by guests and you will love them.

Stoneware Dinner Plates

Break out the good plates for Thanksgiving Dinner! There's no better time to use your best pieces for a holiday dinner. Handmade from sand stoneware, these white and tan rimmed plates are just what you need. Available in sets of two (one dinner plate, one salad plate), or individually, you can mix and match for the sizes you need for your family dinner. Finished with an ivory glaze, they are so much prettier than regular old plates, and you'll love their high quality appearance.

Gold Silverware

That turkey or pie isn't going to eat itself, and you certainly can't use your hands. Just like in the styled shoot photos, they too used gold silverware, and for good reason- they're more fun and elegant than its silver toned counterpart. This 72 piece set below is one of our favorites- there are 12 pieces of each different utensil, so you'll have just the right spoon or fork for the occasion. Made from stainless steel and gold titanium coating, they're highly durable and a quality product. Even better, you can personalize them with family initials or names for that little something extra.

Thanksgiving Dinner Menu Card

Obviously, you can't have Thanksgiving Dinner without you know, dinner, and what a better way to get people excited for what's coming than with a custom menu card? The card used in this feature is our MIA Collection terracotta & burnt orange toned menu card (for the shoot, the card was altered to a more terracotta tone which can easily be recreated with editing). This menu features a modern minimalist design with earthy burnt orange tones, and a simple, elegant font. All wording, fonts, and colors are completely editable for all your event needs. Write out everything you'll be serving for dinner in an easy to use format that guests will love. Sized at 5x7 (pictured below) or 3.5x8.5", they are easy to edit, and can be printed at home for your convenience. If you're looking for a professional, try Prints of Love. They offer free 2-3 day shipping and will deliver high quality products right to your door.
