The Inspiration

Last month, we posted about a stunning downtown LA wedding on our blog, and the feedback on this boho inspired reception table was nothing but positive. We received so many compliments about this tablescape, and although we can't take credit for this particular design, we thought it would be fun to help you put together something similar. One item that we want to highlight directly from the blog are the florals and hanging boho installation from Shindig Chic- They have incredible talent for putting together floral arrangements using different flowers, leaves, and pampas grasses to create one of a kind pieces. Of course, you can always check in with your local florist to see their inventory, or other florists available in your respective city to help you create something similar to the ones below. Photographer Teri B snapped these images, and to see more of her work from the blog we featured, you can see that HERE. Keep reading to see what items we think would help create the perfect boho tablescape.

Recreating this Boho Tablescape

We mentioned the florals and boho hanging installation above, now let's get into the other items needed to help you create a similar boho inspired tablescape. Here are just a few items that we think are perfect for making an unforgettable table setup.

Cheesecloth Tablerunner

Table runners are very much in style right now and work well for any event. They are much nicer than an overall table cloth and look great on any table. Look for one that's machine washable, so guests don't have to worry if they accidentally spill on it, and you can use it more than one. We love this terracotta colored one that has a slight burnt orange undertone. Made from cotton, gauze, and cheesecloth with its color hand-dyed. You can order them in dimensions anywhere from 5ft to 130ft, allowing you to decorate any table, of any size. It doesn't get any better than that!

Linen Napkins

You can never go wrong with linen napkins. They are inherently more elegant and stylish than any other form of napkin, and they add a little touch of glamour to any table setting. It can turn a regular tablescape into something beautiful. These linen napkins are handmade and machine washable so clean up is a breeze. They come in a variety of colors to match your event, and we are obsessed with this terracotta toned set. Offered in even sizes from 10 to 20 inches, and in packs of anywhere from 2 to 10 pieces, you can order as few or as many as you like. Little details like these won't go unnoticed by guests and you will love them.

Amber Candlestick Holders

Tinted glass pieces like these amber colored candlestick holders are pretty and delicate, and make for perfect table decorations. Fun shapes and designs are our favorites, and for special events or a different style, use them instead of regular standard candle holders. Playing with your tablescape decor should always be creative and that's why we think something out of the ordinary is a great addition. We love these because they come in tiers of 1 to 3, so you can mix and match on your table for a unique look. You can also find similar amber glass pieces like vases to place pieces of pampas grass or flowers to amplify your decorations.

Pastel Taper Candles

If you've read any of our past blogs (if you haven't, what are you waiting for!), you know that we LOVE candlesticks over regular candles. They always look amazing, and add a chic appearance to any table. There is nothing more romantic than dinner by candlelight or by lighting them up to add some ambiance. Stick with candles that are unscented so that the focus of the event is the smell of food and nothing else. Pastel colors are perfect to contrast any darker toned pieces on your table, giving you a nice little color palette. These 12" candles are sold in packs of 10 and are both smokeless and dripless, so you can burn them without any worry.

Vintage Wine Goblets

Is there anything fancier than crystal wine goblets? It's hard not to picture yourself as a bohemian queen while you drink out of these, and we love a bohemian queen. These crystal goblets are the perfect touch to your boho tablescape. Drinking glasses like these goblets are an upgrade from regular wine glasses, with etched designs and a pretty vintage look. Anything but ordinary, they are a great finishing touch for any table setting. These goblets are available in sets of 6-perfect for a smaller get together.

BONUS- Wedding Table Stationery

No tablescape is complete with a few stationery pieces. For a tablescape that has a lot of color and detail, keep your stationery minimalist in design for a look that is both stylish but beautifully simple.

DIY Dinner Menus

This MARAH Collection "Let's Eat" dinner wedding menu template features an elegant handwritten font and modern minimalist design. Completely editable, you can add or change anything you need to so that they perfectly match your event needs. Available in sizes of 5x7" or 4x9" (pictured below) for you to pick your ideal size. We recommend placing these directly on top of dinner plates for cute little table additions. Guests will love the little extra attention to detail with custom DIY printed menus.

Personalized Place Cards

Attention to detail is everything, and one way to go above and beyond is to add small personalized name plates. These EVELYN collection name plates have the same style and design as the above menus, with a slightly different script font, and are also completely editable. They can be made into either flat cards or tented cards, both measuring in at 3.5x2" (although we love a flat piece, we recommend the tented pieces for better placement). All of our stationery pieces can be printed at home for your convince, as well as any professional pinter. If you're looking for a professional, check out our favorite at Prints of Love. They offer free 2-3 day shipping and will deliver high quality products right to your door.
